The Vagabond Lover
The Vagabond Lover is a musical romantic comedy starring Rudy Vallée in his film debut. Rudy Bronson is a young musician from a small town who dreams of becoming a successful bandleader and singer. After forming a band with his friends, he travels to Long Island hoping to find an opportunity to perform. When Rudy is mistaken for the famous musician Ted Grant, he goes along with the misunderstanding. His new identity brings him unexpected success, including a chance to perform at a wealthy woman's charity event. Along the way, Rudy falls in love with Jean Whitehall, but their romance becomes complicated when she discovers that he has been pretending to be someone else. Eventually, the truth is revealed. Rudy's musical talent is recognized, and he gets the opportunity to pursue the career he has always dreamed of, while also winning Jean's affection.
